I want to take a moment to share with you the wonderful time we had with Carl & Ruth Engstrom.  The Engstroms were here with us at the Orchard Avenue Baptist Church on Sunday evening, Nov. 11, 2001.  The Engstroms presented a concert using their talents on the organ & keyboard, as well as singing solos & duets. The conservative traditional music, which they presented, was very pleasing to our congregation as well as glorifying to the Lord.  Several people in our church commented that their concert was “the best we ever had in our church.”

Carl & Ruth have a sweet spirit that will truly bless your church.  If you desire to have godly music in your church, I encourage you to schedule the Engstroms to be with you soon.

It was a pleasure to have Carl & Ruth Engstrom come back again to Carl's home church & present a sacred concert in August 2006.

As always, their homecoming concerts are well-received by the folks here at First Baptist s it gives everyone the opportunity to get reaquainted with them as well as enjoy the blessed music that they play & sing.

When it comes to music, Carl & Ruth are not performers, but worshippers. And as worshippers, they do not worship by themselves, rather they are most happy to lead all in worship.

It was our privilege to have Carl & Ruth Engstrom in our church June 18, 2000.  They presented a one hour musical concert for us.  Having known the Engstroms for over forty years, I knew the quality of the music would be exceptional.  However, I must confess I did not expect the spiritual blessing that was to accompany the quality of their performance.  I believe God spoke to the hearts of both the saved & the lost during this time.

The selection of the songs was exceptional, covering the areas of God’s love, grace & faithfulness, the need of salvation, service to others, the coming of the Lord & much more.  Both Carl & Ruth gave their testimonies concerning their own salvation & shared with us their broken hearts over a wayward daughter.  Many were moved to tears as God spoke to hearts.

Recently Evangel Baptist Church was wonderfully blessed to enjoy the musical ministry of the Engstrom's.

While we are not an issue oriented church, we are without apology a conservative church. We have a Biblical belief that there ought to be a difference between holy and unholy (Lev. 10:10) in the area of music. Having said that, we are a church that values quality spirited music. The Engstroms ministered to us with some of the best music ever. They encouraged our people with their musical capabilities while all the while recognizing that it was not a performance.

Their attitude was one of grateful servanthood. Their testimonies reflect an ongoing and growing spiritual relationship with our Blessed Lord. They came to minister and did so with great skill, humility and enthusiasm.
